FINANCING YOUR INTRALASIK PROCEDURE

The LASIK procedure is considered elective surgery by most insurance companies and as such, is not covered by most medical plans. This means that you, the patient, are responsible for the costs associated with the procedure. Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center makes IntraLASIK affordable for any budget by offering a variety of options to assist you in paying for your LASIK procedure.

PRICING

Prices are determined according to each patient’s individual prescription and may vary. There is a cash price discount. The surgical fees include:

• The pre-procedure examination (if the procedure is done within thirty days after the exam)
• The laser procedure and initial standard medications.
• Post-procedure care that includes eye care examinations for 24-months following the procedure.

When you compare the cost of refractive surgery to the projected cost of glasses and contact lenses you’ll use over a ten-year period, you’ll discover that refractive surgery is the more economical option.

In addition, we have several financing options that make it easier for you to afford the procedure that will make a difference in the way you see the world.

(24) Months No Interest Option with Regular Minimum Payments
The MARQUIS card is issued by Wells Fargo Financial National Bank. Special terms of 24 months no interest option with regular minimum monthly payments will apply to purchases charged with approved credit to your MARQUIS line of credit. Regular minimum monthly payments are required during the option period. The no interest option means there is no interest if your purchase is paid in full within 24 months after the date of purchase; otherwise, interest accrues from date of purchase at the APR for purchases using your MARQUIS line of credit, which is 25.00%. The standard APR for transactions using your MasterCard line of credit will be 13.90%. FLEX PLANS

A Flex Plan (FP) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a benefit package option developed to provide you with flexibility and choice with coverage and spending on health care including laser vision correction. Unlike the traditional standard benefits package, both FP and FSA benefits give you and your company the opportunity to create the benefits package that will be most beneficial. These plans are usually open to all permanent employees of a company. Many companies permit you to review your benefit choices each year to ensure that they continue to meet your personal circumstances.

FP and FSA are also very attractive because of the fact that your flex plan account is tax sheltered. Each designated pay period, your FP or FSA dollars are withdrawn from your paycheck before taxes, which allows you and dependents to use your expected health expense money without being taxed for it.

Flex Dollars - “Use them or lose them”
Due to IRS regulations, if the amount you have elected for your flexible spending account in a FP or FSA year exceeds the actual expenses created by you in the same Flex Plan year, the excess amount will be forfeited. Excess amounts will not be carried over from one plan year to another plan year. Your employer cannot return any money remaining in your FP or FSA to you.

Because of this policy, you may have a remainder of FP or FSA funds that should be used quickly, and what better way to spend your Flex Plan funds than on great vision.
